2018 inter-Korean summit

The 2018 inter-Korean summit took place on April 27, 2018,
on the South Korean side of the Joint Security Area, between President Moon Jae-in of South Korea and Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un of North Korea. It was the third inter-Korean summit and the first in eleven years. It was also the first time since the end of the Korean War in 1953 that a North Korean leader entered South Korean territory; President Moon also briefly stayed in the North's territory. The summit planned to focus on the North Korean nuclear weapons program and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula
